Texoma -- Day One Long day! Another good sales call this morning -- which makes 4 good sales calls of 4 for the What a full day! I slept in, woke up to a flat tire, pulled the tire in time for the nasty cold rain to start, got the tire fixed and put it back on in the rain, and then had breakfast. Oh, and I was also surprised to find the deer that Aunt Sabe nursed since it was abandoned when it was a baby is now a "pet" who hangs around and will eat feed out of one's hand! Then Micah arrived, we managed to BS for a while, headed off to a very cold boatdock to fish for crappie, Glady's nailed a nice fish first cast, we're all thinking it will be a good day, and there was very little action the rest of the time. It was cold, windy, and wet. We wandered back to the big garage and Bob started prepping for a fish fry. We all visited. Callie had a long conversation with my dad and decided she liked him very much. The Dos Equis beer was flowing and tasting quite nice. I haven't sat and had an afternoon of knocking beers down in quite a little while. I think I earned it the past week. The fish was incredible once again, but made us all tired, especially Gladys. We all retired to the cabin, thinking we were going to crash. Then Micah and I managed to sit up half the night chatting about the future, the past, and points in between. That was overdue. We also sorted out the Memorial Day float trip. It should be a good one. Comments? Visit my Message Boards. |
