What a Time to be Alive

I intended to work at home today.  And then I discovered that I had not brought certain files from the office.  So I took Mr. Kellas's advice and decided not to work at home today.

What did I do instead?  I cleaned the apartment.  I did some grocery shopping.  I grilled some excellent steaks.  I used Media Jukebox (great free program!) to encode a number of cd's, I did some more file stuff on the new puter, and I had an excellent chat with Micah, who has returned to Oklahoma from a stay in the Dominican Republic.  In all, not a bad day!

Micah and I had a great chat about technology and how amazing -- not to mention cheap -- everything has gotten.  Cell phones, computer cards, scanners, what have you.  It's gotten better and cheaper.  It's made the world a smaller place, and even had an impact on remote places in the Dominican Republic.  It's truly an amazing time to be alive.
