That's Our Mayor Brown
Last night, Callie called my attention to this quote from Mayor Lee Brown, who was responding to a recent poll showing him trailing Orlando Sanchez:
"It's no surprise it's a dead heat," Brown said. "It is a two-person race right now."
Yes, Mayor Brown. It IS a two-person race.
That's why it's called a RUNOFF!
And that's our Mayor Brown, who once noted during a City Council meeting that "during the last six years of 1998, crime was down in all categories."
Six years?! That's a lot of time to pack into 1998!
Brilliant.
And soon to be a not-so-fond memory of Houston's past, I hope.
