The dumbass behind me yesterday at St. Martin's gave me his cold.  It's just dreadful.

Hallmark got in yesterday and we met up with Kellas at the theater in Putney.   Graham is involved in a group that restored this historic old church and made it into an unbelievably nice community theater.  It's a good use for a church!  He is directing a play, The Visit by Friedtich Durenmatt.  They were doing a tech rehearsal.  We had a few beers afterwards, then back to south Wimbledon for dinner.  We chatted in Graham's garden a bit, then retired to our hotel where it was uncharacteristically hot as hell.

Another note about culture:  nothing here is air-conditioned.  Much of the time, it's not necessary, but it was around 90 degrees today for a high.  We are staying in a fairly new hotel, so there's no good excuse for no a/c.  But the attitude seems to be, "It's good enough most of the time."  In America, we don't settle for that!  We want perfect, 100% of the time.  This is another example in which American culture compares favorably.
