Reading:  The Dancing Wu Li Masters by Gary Zukav.

The weekend is gone.  Where did it go?  I had hoped to get a little more done on the dissertation, but should be able to finish writing a section of chapter three tomorrow and be ready to move into analysis of people like Croly, Goodnow, Wilson, Parrington, etc for the next section of the chapter. 

Sitemeter seems to be functioning properly again.  This is good.

I was pleased to see that Jonni updated her journal today, and even more pleased to find this sentence there:  "There has been a little sick link fest between Reflections of an Objectivist Muse and Machinations and myself lately."  I like the phrase "little sick link fest" and am just as entertained by the goings on. 

So how does this work, Jonni and Erzse?  Do I now need to write, "hyperlink, you're it!!!" or can it remain more subtle?  You know, subtle like five or six links in various places?  :)

Callie is planning her entrance into the online exhibitionist world.  She seems to be doing it as it ought to be done -- plotting out content (a journal -- yay -- and Counting Crows content -- yay -- and... well, call this your teaser and prepare to tune in!) and structure and directory trees and such before even touching the computer.   Of course, this is probably necessitated somewhat by the fact that her computer is tired (dying even) and I hog my own computer... meaning that she's now in the market for a new 'puter before the thing can be launched.  Exciting!

My mom asked earlier, so I'll just give out the answer:  the fellow with the eyepatch in the collage on my journal entry page is NOT Fidel Castro!  It's my dissertation director.  Incidentally, one of his books is also on the page and I think it's the best damn book that's ever been written in its subfield. 

This has been a fun journal entry to write, but I'm afraid it must come to an end as it's time for a little Wu Li followed by sleep.
